HH Castle Case? What are your thoughts on it?

I'm just wondering from those who have it-if it is worth having or not. I'm not even sure what to ask about it-maybe if somebody who has it can offer a review and if they think its worth the space it takes up with play value and such or not. Thanks!

It is very cute and very well made. We have the case and would be great to play with but we honestly do not have the space for it (we live in an apt-although it is very big, there is no basement-a must). I do have one I am selling if you would like one. I need to get my bedroom floor back before Christmas LOL! PM if interested.

Thanks-I actually have 2 here-and am debating on keeping them-or ebaying them-since I'm needing some extra money right now-and about to do an ebay selling run. I'm trying to figure out if I'll regret selling them or not. I hate decisions-but then I also hate choosing to keep something and them never using them. lol Thank you for the sale offer though!

My DD loves the case but it is not as well made as other AG products. The doors do not stay open when the case is standing upright. We tilt the whole thing back to keep them open. Also it is made out of very strong, coated card board. (I know that is a strange way to describe it, but the best I can do) The coating is coming off from the doors bending back. So they appear to be ripping, but they are not falling off - yet. It is big. It holds the 2 HH dolls she has and a few outfits and accessories. Like I said, My DD loves it, but I was a little disappointed.

I have the carrying case in The Stash just waiting for some random moment or Christmas perhaps to take it out. I did examine it when it arrived, however, and I believe your description of the material is exactly right--it is a very heavy, coated cardboard.

I don't feel bad about the quality because I got it on sale for such a good price. If it falls apart eventually, well then at least DD really played with it which is always a great thing!

I'm hoping DD will enjoy the fact that the dress-up trunk box can fit into it and that it will be an attractive looking storage area, once DD gets it. I wouldn't sell both cases only because once they're gone it would be annoying to have to buy them back, should you decide you really wanted one after all.

We also have this in the stash. I was really happy with them when they arrived (one for each DD). I'm sure my girls will enjoy playing with these-- they love doll trunks and hanging up their doll clothes. I think the castle motif will also be a big hit. I probably would not have bought them at full price but I was delighted with what I got for the sale price.

I would probably keep at least one if I were you. I haven't checked these out on ebay-- are they going for a lot?

Thanks-I'll probably hold onto them then. No-they aren't going for alot at all on ebay-seem to be around the $20 maybe a little more that we paid. [img]smile.gif[/img]

We have it and the "cardboard" is holding out well. I paid full price and was diappointed in it, however DD loved it. The latch on the doors is hard because the doors need to be shut perfectly too work and it gets top heavy on the 4 "spindle" feet so we have to lean it against the wall or everthying will fall out if the latch isnt done right. Overall, the quality could have been better for AG.

I agree with what has been said already. It is cosmetically adorable but not all that sturdy. Cute enough for the price most of us paid for ours though!
